Inspiron 5100 wireless mini-pci card; 2.4 or 5 mhz differences?

Hi all,

I just found out that this was an available option for my 5100, but it's a little confusing. What mini pci cards would you all suggest (I'm assuming they work on most wireless router/access points).

Also, in the Dell literature, it states that, by law, only a qualified tech can install a 5 mhz card, but you can install your own 2.4 mini pci card. What's up with that?

2.4ghz is the frequency wireless B and G are at, these are by far the most common.
5ghz is A, about the half the range and same speed as G but not compatible with B or G networks.

I would go with the 2.4ghz

I was thinking you could get a dual mini pci, to cover all the bases, but more than the G is prob overkill fo me anyway.
