laptop a good deal?

Good deal for $1125 (after mir(s)) at Circuit City? They gave us $75 off the tag because of trouble with earlier laptop.
If not a good deal, the salesman told us we could return within 14 days. User strictly non power person.
If anyone has better deal for similar specs I would like to know about it.

other than that (without going into specifics of the laptop its pretty good)

decent deal

be very careful with the rebates....MAKE SURE that you go to a copy machine and make copies of everything u send in...namely
1)the receipt
2)the filled out rebate form
3)the upc

if you dont make personal copies of these...shame on you...lol...cuz many times they will try to rip u off on rebates as many of us here have learned
