Laptop Question

Hey I was out garage saling this weekend, and bought a Digital HiNote 433 Laptop Computer for almost nothing. But the only downfall of it is that there is no AC Power Cable with it, and there is no Cd-Rom drive in it. Only a floppy drive, and 2 PCMCIA slots. So I have been looking around town tring to find a power cord, and no one has any. So I bought one only for $45. So now im stuck with the problem, once that comes in, how do I install Windows 95/98 on it with no cd-rom? The people I bought it from said it did work, but coudlnt remember what the problem with it was. So does anyone have any ideas how to put Win 95/98 on one without a cd-rom? Or better yet, does anyone own one of these computers??

Hi,

Stick a Card into one of the slots and network it to another machine that has at least a CD Rom Drive you can share or copy Win 98 to the HDD of the other machine and then install it from there.

What kind of a card do I need to stick in it? I mean what is the actual name of it? Ive never owned a laptop before, and thats the reason I bought this one, but I had no idea becuase I didnt pay attention to it, that it had no cdrom in it, because it was so cheap price. And what is the price range of those cards? Thanks alot

Before you spend any more money on it. Check out this guys experiences with one of these. You might have a real problem with a lack of RAM to run any Windows Apps but this guy has run Linux on it and is now using it for other tasks
