I'm Looking for a new laptop for college. I'm looking for battery life, not gaming. My college has deals for discounts with Dell and Gateway.

I was looking at the

ASUS W1N
Dell Inspiron 8600
Gateway M275

What do you think?

I'd just make sure you get the battery upgrade, if possible. I have a 5100(which is good enough for me, after reinstalling w/o all the Dell bs), but the basic battery life bites.

and the new 128MB ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9600 Pro Turbo Graphics card for crisp imaging, improved streaming video, and the most graphic-intensive games.


add that and it would be pretty good...with up to 80 gig HD and the cd/dvd burner...

didn't check out price, but sounds like a decent system...
