Did you try the suggestions in this thread? Is the video format set correctly to PAL or NTSC? Is the signal output set correctly to S-video? |

All you need do is hook up ur laptop and your TV using S-VIDEO cable. THen press F5, and choose the second block.
The picture quality is pretty bad. My laptop has VGA port, and my TV has DVI. I am wondering if I use VGA to DVI cable, will the video quality be better? |

That depends on the TV. Your TV may only support digital DVI input. VGA is a purely analog signal. Check with your TV manual/specs to see if it will accept an analog VGA/DVI input. |

| Connecting 7 PIn Svideo out to 4 PIn Svideo In
Hello,
I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 and it has an Svideo out that has 7 pins. My TV is a Toshiba and it has Svdieo in that has 4 pins. Can I use a regular 4 pin Svideo cable in the 7 pin out or is there some special adapter I need? I have tried hooking it up and I get no signal. Have tried playing around wih settings in the Display but nothing seems to be working. |

| S-cables
I connected everything fine between my laptop and TV monitor -- its worked for the past two years. All of a sudden the picture has no colour. I can't figure out why unless I need a new S-cable but shouldn't the cable last more then three years???
Confused! |

Need some help. Trying to hook my Toshiba Laptop to my Olivea 32 flatscreen. Works easy on my Imacs but not on my laptop. Both are new and less than 8 months old. VGA input is what I used before. I am considering using s-video cable. I kind of lost right not. Can anyone assist? |
