    how do i find out...

i cant seem to find out what my lappy is. ive tried checking compusa.com and did a google but i still cant seem to find out exactly what it is. its fairly old and was sitting in my mothers attic for the last few years. it has win 98plus on it..could have come with it but im not sure. on the back the model is AmeriNote, but there seems to be about 5 or so different AmeriNote models but this has no number after it. it is a CompUSA pc. celeron 300MHz, toshiba cd-rom, generic floppy, has a modem but no ethernet. (any easy way to get one in there?) and it has a pcmcia slot. (also i want to get wireless network card..anything specific to look for). again im not exactly sure how old the comp is but im guessing around 98.
    Thanks in advance
