I put a hefty scratch on my laptop screen today. There was something on the cloth that I was cleaning it with. Anyone know of a good way to get scratches off? I have heard of this Displex stuff that works on plastic and acrylic. Does it work for laptops too? Let me know what you think. Thanks a lot.

| My Laptop Needs Help Too!
Hello, there is a way to fix your laptop screen.
You need to get it repolarized. That's when the coating on your lap top screen is removed, and a new one is applied. Your lap top screen will be E.X.A.C.T.L.Y. as it was brand new!
It will cost $49.00. But it's worth it. You don't want to look at that disgusting, annoying, mocking scratch for the rest of your life, do you?

I cleaned my Laptop screen with the wrong cloth. I don't think I need to explain anymore.
Anyways, I'm going to get my Laptop repolarized. I just cannot stand scratches! They are just so ugly! Even the slightest scratches pester me!
You can only see the scratches when the laptop is off, and you shine the screen to direct sunligh, but there's about seven of them. Nice and long. I want them gone I tell you, gone!
I hate scratches so much, I would seriously buy a new Laptop and throw this one away, lol. Well... maybe not that bad, but the idea hits me sometimes. |

Seems the prices of scratch repair have gone up Since the earlier posts, just checked and it would be almost $100 to fix my powerbook screen. Damndest thing that it got scratched today, after Apple computer called me up this morning and asked if I wanted to extend my warranty and I declined, 2 hours later a screwdriver falls from the shelf from above my desk and gouges the screen and somehow turned 2 pixels permanently red. |

Doesnt extended warranty cover accidental damage. If you pay maybe $100-$200 extra, all this would be covered.

If it's a glossy screen, just try some gel-gloss. Otherwise, I don't know. |
