Tecra 8000 – Toshiba

Hello,

I lately did a few upgrades of Toshiba laptops from NT and WIN98 to W2K and I found that all had the same problem. It won’t run W2K smoothly if you do not upgrade the bios and internal device drivers. They had a problem with restarting and freezing. After flashing the bios and installing device drivers all problems vanished, so go to the manufacturer’s site and download everything for that type of upgrade…

The problem is even more prevalent in changing to XP. Numerous system errors can occur throughout the system.

Old ones, like satellite pro 4200series or older tecra series do need bios update. But so do Compaq desktops etc.
Nothing special
