Medion Pocket PC Questions

Hi,

I bought a Medion Pocket PC with built in GPS Receiver without reading the box properly

(It didn't help that it was in German and I don't speak much let alone read any)

I was under the impression that it could go in 5 languages, the navigation part can but all else seems to be stuck in German even though the Windows Pocket PC 2003 Premium OS Disk is written all over in English(Contents COA etc)

My first question is has anyone got one of these and have any idea how to change the language?

Medion Tech Support is probably even worse than AOL's so it isn't worth wasting anymore bandwidth sending hem my questions.

Question 2 for anyone that has one of these is once you have created your corridor for navigation and exported it to your Pocket PC, How do you get the damn thing to follow that route?

Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I think you may need to flash the PDA's ROM to English but I'm not sure.

Well I know that it's possible to flash some Pocket PCs. I know a few people who have done so to convert their MDA Compact from German to English.

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can buy Pocket PC 2003 Premium OS in English?

The Medion People in the UK have just point blank refused to help and the German Hotline Number leaves you on hold for up to 2 hrs before dropping out.

I might end up giving this to a German for a present yet and get the one I should have waited for in the first place the Navman ICn 650.

Bump it up. Search for other medion threads and threads relatin to "flashing" PDAs to update software.

Hi nodnerb2,

Just to let you know, did the same thing but I do speak German, need to go out now but just registerd, to tell you will stop in tomorrow to give you the instruction in english on how to work the navigator.

Am also looking to convert basic machine to English, German skills good but don't speak PC German, yet !!!
