I heard the AMD only runs about as fast as a 3.2 ghz P4? Especially the Extreme edition P4's

AMD CPU's beat any Intel CPU hands down for gaming.

P4 E or EE edition (or what they call 'em) run hot and are to expensive.

Heck and I even priced the Alienware out with the Backpack carrying case

That's why I don't understand why everyone says that the Alienware is WAY overpriced...I've compared it against the Dell XPS 2nd Gen, The Voodoo top of the line notebook, Xplorer X7-9000, and a Widow pc(Which also claims to sell for less then the Alienware) and Each time the Alienware comes out swinging 2-3 hundred dollars cheaper.

Not from what I've seen...I can get a faster P4 for cheaper (Compare Alienware to Voodoo who runs the AMD.) with the amount of money I'm saving I'll just buy a notebook cooling pad.

I have a Pentium M, and I use a cooling pad with it. I've been running it about 16 hours a day for a year now, and nothing is fried.

It's very fast, and it was in the 2K range. I wouldn't spend 3K on a laptop, because 2 months after you buy it, it will be retailing for 2K.
