Dell Latitude C600 Video Problem

Hi, i just reloaded winxp on a friend's C600 and the video is acting all screwy, like it just doesn't want to go into full 32 bit color, it did get really hot (the fan didn't want to come on, which has happend to me before w/ dell laptops)

does anyone have any suggestions? or could the video be dying?

any help will be greatly appreciated! thanx!

did you load the drivers for the video card?

Some of the dell laptops fan dont come on till it hits a certain temperature

yeah, it's running the latest drivers from dell's website

well, it was getting mighty hot, i can't imagine how hot it would have to be for the fan to come no, i mean, even when a cd was in the drive turning that cooled it off a bunch...
