Hi Sheera,

Are you running off the battery or are you plugged in? How old is the laptop? What are some of your system specs?

Thumbs up

Try checking your event viewer under admin tools for event ID's or warnings. Maybe you might find something there.

Shutting off mainly happens when plugged in. The computer is one month.

I have a friend who bought a compaq laptop and I think he was having the same problem, actually I think his was restarting for no apparent reason, I checked his event viewer and he had a bunch of system errors, all logged around the time his computer would restart. I don't remember what the event ID's were off the top of my head but he ended up returning it for a sony vaio.
