scroll on the touch pad not working
ok..i just cleaned up a really bad virus and did a lot of cleaning up, but now I have one MAJOR problem. this laptop has a touchpad and on the side of the touch pad, there is a scroll. it's build right into the touch pad and is set off on the right side by a little bump...now when I run my finger over there, it just moves the mouse! anyone have any ideas on what's going on or how to fix it? i'd appreciate any help you can give

What type of touchpad is it (mine's a Synaptics).
Your best bet is to go to the manufacturer's website and find the touchpad drivers for your particular model.
Mine will even do horizontal scrolling using a similar area across the bottom of the touchpad (although the horizontal scroll doesn't work in Firefox). What did a tornado sound like before freight trains were invented?

Mine BROKE and had to sent it in to be repaired. Try re-install trh drivers first as suggested.
Or try a System Restore and see what happens.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iE9TN...eature=related

@ scroll pad not working
Makek sure you have your touchpad driver running. Sometimes it gets turned off from the startup. Open msconfig from commandline and check the startup. If its not ticked, tick it and restart.
Hope this helps
