I have had this laptop for around abouts 3 years now, lately it has had this issue with locking up.
Not sure what is causing it, I have reloaded every piece of software (apart from red hat) that I have, from ME (came with this) to XP Pro.
Everyone of them will crash, no errors, no blue screens or anything, just bums out and nothing happens.
You can still see everything, its like the mouse dies or something, but ctr alt del does nothing either, the only way to shut it down is with the power button.
there is nothing on the machine, its a plain install, nothing, apart from drivers, I thought maybe its the DVD drive as it likes to pop out on its own sometimes, removed and still does it, thought it was the wireless d-link card, removed it, same thing, even removed the mini combo pci card, same thing, I even went out and bought new memory, same thing.
The laptop really has not had much use, its clean and in really good condition, but I cant use it for no more then 20 seconds to maybe 5 minutes before it locks up.
Has anyone else had this issue? anyone know of how to fix it?
