Question
CDROM drivers for Thinkpad 560

Excuse my thickness. How does using a WIN98 boot disk
allow the insertion of the WIN98SE CD to install WIN98?
I obtained the WIN98SE driver from BOOTDISK.COM. On my
desktop, using it does not allow me to get to my CDROM.
What am I doing_thinking wrong?

Gottcha about the multiple posts. I am confused about
different forums are I guess.

what you downloaded from bootdisk.com should be an .exe run the .exe and have a: disk ready. the program will make a boot disk.

restart the computer with the boot disk you created and stat up with cd rom support. And then install win98 from there. remember to back up any info that your friends wants to keep.

For a full listing of the drivers that he may need, go to www.pc.ibm.com/us/thinkpad/support select support and search for the TP 560 Device Driver Matrix. It'll have all of the drivers, BIOS and H8 updates that he may need.
