Well, this is a used laptop that my brother gave me. The problem with it is that when i try to boot it on normal mode it shows an error saying
"While Initilizing device IOS
Error: An I/O subsystem driver failed to load. either a file in the ./iosubsys subdirectory is corrupt, or the system is low on memory."
Not only that, but the screen doesnt display through the full screen. It only shows on a box...and the rest of the screen is black.
If anyone can help that would be great. I couldnt get the specs of the laptop because i just got it and i dont have it with me at the moment. If anyone could help, that would be great.
Thanks.

sounds like a video driver issue...the box is caused by the default vga ras being lower than the screens native res

i would reccomend booting into safemode and uninstalling and reinstalling the video driver

if that dosent work, a reformat might be a good idea anyways....if you have the capabilities
