If anyone can recommend a good laptop that I can use for gaming that will handle the newer games (graphics and all) without sending me to the poorhouse please let me know. Dell has one that is super but $4K? Man that's allot of cash. |

any reason why it has to be a laptop? If not, you could get an awesome gaming beast for like $1200...that's what I did

Great prices and they have a good reputation for service and quality.
Check reseller ratings for more opinions
If you want the ultimate gaming laptop, check out the 17" models with the new 7800 GTX go card. It performs near the desktop 7800 GT/GTX, which is pretty insane.
If you want slightly more casual gaming, the 6600go is a pretty decent card (see the 15" and 15.4" models). Pulls approximately 2500-2800 on 3dmark2005.
Personally I'm going to be buying the PowerPro 3:11 here in 4-5 weeks. Waiting for my first quarter of classes to be over first. |

Hello Denny
I am an airline pilot who also enjoys PC gaming. I need to play on laptops. I have owned Ailenware and Dell gaming laptops. I would stay away from Ailenware. My Dell is awesome! I also got it fully loaded brand new for $2600. There is a forum for notebooks that has some great coupons. I had a %33 off and I was able to combine my EPP %12 discount for a total of %45. There are some great deals out there. I don't know if providing a link would break the rules so you can pm me and Ill give it. There is also a ton of information on all laptops. |

Welcome to TechIMO!
Don't worry about breaking the rules...you only would be if you are advertising for a certian site/etc...giving out links to great deals is not advertising.
Anyways...how much do you want to spend on this laptop? That info would really help us out.

the xps m170 from dell would be the best choice IMO...although since they changed over the the xps 'line' they don't have as many of the good coupons like the 40% the xps 2 had....but at least the 7800go is avalible now and with your budget i don't think price is much of an issue
