Wireless problem

I set up a wireless home network with lynksys router/access point, adapter card for the notebook. The PC is running winxp pro, while the notebook has win2000 pro. When I first set up the network it ran fine. I was nosing around the notebooks network settings, and may or may not have changed something. Any way I could no longer get passed the old novell sign in screen with the passwords.
I down loaded EBCD and ran it to change the password. I can now boot but I cannot get internet access. I have a good connection to the access point but not the internet. Any help would be appreciated.

So what you are saying is it says you have a good connection to the internet. But you can't get any websites to load? If this is so try seeing if your laptop is getting a network address from your routers DNS server.

Check the TCP stack on the laptop in properties. You may have to fill in the infomation yourself.

I already tried that doesn't work. Linksys tells me to enter 192.168.1.1in browser address, but all i get is a page with some data but nolinks to page it tells meto go to.

Can you log in to the router control panel? I am not too familiar with Lynksys since I use Netgear, but I assume the basics are the same.

Look closer. If you get any page with that address, you are where you need to be. Get out the book and look again. Good luck.
