Latitude C600

I was loading Netzero software and was at the point were it says to reboot, it just stop boot up

It is a dell laptop Latitude C600 it will not boot or do post.

It would not boot. The power light comes on for 3-4 seconds and then goes on blinking every few seconds. The computer will not turn off untill you take the battery off the unit or plug it into an electical outlet it would not go off.
The power, numlock, capslock and scrolllock lights come on together for 3-4 seconds and then go off for less than a second. This cycle repeats many times.
Thanks for your time.

learning how to debug is the best part. i am assuming this is a laptop? Can you soft power it off by holding down the power buttin for over 15sec, typical amount of time till most shut down. Please post some specs and more details.

It will not go off until you plug it into the AC Adaptor

sounds like a hardware problem somewhere with the power supply, either in the ac source or the battery source. unfortunately laptops arent real easy to repair because they are all unique in design. probably have to send it back to dell, i dont feel this is a problem you can repair. If it doesnt even make it into or past the bios, theres no way to really work on it at all.
sorry
