Laptop Monitor questions

i was sitting there with my laptop on top of my main machine and i was wondering what things should i keep away from my laptops monitor so it won't get messed up. magnets shouldn't interfere with this monitor. anything else? i have an 14.1 SXGA+ monitor. thanks

Well, try not to put any heavy object the laptop when closed :-D

I don't remember very well, but I think I once read about sub-zero temps being bad for a LCD screen . . . I might be mistaken though.

Cold temperatures will TEMPORARILY make the screen go dark or black.

And yes, I would assume that excessive exposure to cold temperatures can't be good in the long run for the machine, as well as the monitor.

Magnets don't affect LCD screens.
It says on my antistatic cleaning tissues that 'Only for CRT, do not apply to LCD'.
So I suppose it doesn't like thinners or whatever that stuff consists of
