Hello everyone, how do I go about connecting the S-VIDEO CABLE to the TV. I have the cable, but i'm unable to see or hear anything on the TV. The laptop i'm using is: hp pavilion zv5220us thank you....

Hello everyone,
how do I go about connecting the S-VIDEO CABLE to the TV.
I have the cable, but i'm unable to see or hear anything on the TV.
The laptop i'm using is:

S-video does not carry audio signals. You need separate cables for that.
You may need to enable the s-video output either in the video adapter control panel, or by pressing a special key sequence. For instance, on my compaq, it's <Fn>+F4.

you have to hook up audio too. s-video carries only...video signal. get a cable with headphone jack on one side and rca's on the other.
