| Is the Dell Inspiron 9400 a decent lappy?
I am thinking about getting this deal but not totally sure yet. Just trying to get some ideas. I just want to know if this is a to good to pass up deal or not.
Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2500 2.0Ghz
1gb 667mhz ddr2 dualchannel memory
XP Home
17in lcd display
80bg7200rpm sata drive
7800go 256mb
integrated sound blaster Audigy Advanced HD
along with the extra stuff.
not sure on warrenty
$1500 w/o shipping and taxes(if applicable)
It's $1000 off the normal price.
I found this deal here on techimo.
Havn't shopped around yet for any other deals yet but since this one ends tommorow I thought I might have to jump on it if it was a really good deal.
Besides. This computer is better than my desktop and would probably is cheaper than what I paid for my desktop as well.
Probably WOULD use it as a gaming machine for me and for an extra computer for my dad if my bro is using my parents computer(which he does alot). I could also maby use it as a desktop replacement and just sell my desktop if this lappy is good enough.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet.....
Yeah that's an AWESOME system/deal.... If I didn't already have a lappy I'd get it - that is if I had any money....

I don't have the money either. But its a custom(at least where I live) that parents get there highschool graduates a laptop for graduation. Not sure if its that way for anyone else. But I'm not sure my parents are going to do that. They think I don't have any uses for one. But if I convince them this is a good deal than maby they'll get it. Besides they owe it to me because I fix there computers anyway and keep them maintained. |

But that was like 4 years ago though. Right? My parents are already in bed so I can't talk to them about it but they will probably say no. But thats what imaginations are for! I can pretend to have one in my mind. Thats almost like owning a laptop isnt it.

'98 - so about what? 8 years... something like that.... the lappy was sweet for its time..... it was about $1800... but what I'm trying to say is that technology has come a long, long, looong way in those 8 years....
EDIT: Ooops.... I'm tired yeah that right about 4 years.... 2002..... wasn't paying attention....

What? your four years older than me according to your profile. That means you were like 14 when you graduated highschool. WOW!
That was a dang good computer for that time then. I was thinking 4 years ago I was starting to feel guilty for trying to get my parents to buy me a really decent lappy. Well ignore what I just said then.

No..... my bad... it was 2002.... Im tired....
EDIT: Anyways I got a new Dell lappy for about $700 off ebay - It's an Inspiron 6000 - P-M @ 1.73GHz, 512MB, 40GB HDD, X300(PCI-E) 64MB, Windows Media Center... I'm happy with it.... it's exactly what I need.... and that X300 has some life in it..... I can play games @ decent FPS.... so, I don't need a new lappy ATM....

What would be a decent warrenty to get with this if I were by chance actually getting this notebook. There is like a 3 year economy warrenty of some sort that I think covers hardware?
All I really need is hardware coverage if like say the hardrive went out. Also I need one with accident coverage as well for example spills dropping it on the ground and the screen cracks or something like that. I don't need phone support because basically I think I could handle the software side of things myself. I don't think I need to be calling Dell up on how to remove viruses and spyware. |
