My New Laptop on the way

Here it is after many hours of reading this fourm and the notebook fourm

Looks great. Do I take it correctly that "Backup media" refers to the XP reinstallation disc? Dell seem to be the only ones offering these.

Similar to mine except I didn't bump up the Ram or processor. But the 7800go made up for that. not a gamer I take it?

This "backup media" isn't free, Dell will charge $10 for it. Though if you don't order it they'll give all of the necessary software for free if you call and complain.

Looks like a good setup. As for backup media, two CDs with all the required software (OS and extra programs + drivers) came with my Compaq notebook that I purchased in September. While it is rare, there are still companies providing the proper media.

No not a gamer but I hope to be able to upgrade that card in a few months if I can.
