Im not sure if im in the right place for this but I just want a bit of info.
I was talking to someone who owns a restaurant and they mentioned that their waiters/waitresses use PDAs to keep track of orders etc, instead of notepads.
I didn't get a chance to quiz him properly about it. I am in the process of opening a restaurant and am interested as he says he would never go back to using notepads.
Could anyone tell me bascially how this would work? What would I need to set this up?
Is there even an advantage to using this, Im not really sure or am I missing something, I guess until I know how it would work and what I could do with a system like that, I wont see how it could be a good thing.
Anyway if anyone can give me any info or point me in the right direction, that would be great.
I have had some experience in the IT industry so I dont need anything dumbing down (i hope
