Thumbs up
Not bad support don't you say?

So about 3 months, I bought a Dell imprison 4100. A couple of days ago I noticed in the bottom left by the start bar that a patch was darker than the rest of the area. Now I have had this laptop for about 3 months and barely used it with work and school. But schools almost up so I can't wait to get my hands on it. so Dell gave me a RMA number and they said Airborne Express will be here tomorrow to pick up the laptop, over night it to dell, then dell will have it for 3-5 days then overnight it back to me! Now how much will this cost you ask? NOTHING! What do you say about that customer support?

I guess that's why so many people have such good things to say about them. Hope the turn-around is as quick as they said. That ain't bad.

Glad to hear about your good experience with Dell. I've also had positive support from them in the past.

I also had a similar experience with Compaq. I bought a used laptop last year with some problems, hoping I would be able to fix them. When I checked things out, I found out it was still under warranty. They sent out a box with a prepaid label, and just a couple of days later I had essentially a new laptop. I looked like this =>

I also have had great experiences with dell.

Instance one. I completely nuked our dell about 5 years ago (was a computer AOL newb HAHA). These poor people spent about 2 straight weeks on teh phone wiht me fixing it for free.

Instance two. Sound card in my brothers computer went out. They had a tech out the next day installing a new one. Impressive considering we live in the middle of nowhere.

Instance three. Two and a half years into my three year warranty my CDRom starts to die due to overuse Dell has a new drive in the mail the next day with a box for me to send the old one back in.

I have always been very, very pleased with all interactions I have had with them, and reccomend them to anyone looking to buy a computer that will come with great support.

dell has always been pretty top notch with support... that's a reason why so many people use them..

let's see ibm match that for a hard drive (and we're talking about something more expensive here!)

LOL JnM.. I haven't had to ever ship anything back to Dell but if I had a question and call them up they seem to tell me what's up and not try to BS it as much as other companies do.
