I have an interesting problem... I have two PCMCIA slots on my Dell laptop, one right above the other. If I plug anything into one of the slots, I can't plug anything into the other because the card that's already plugged in blocks the open slot!
Anybody run into this problem before?
Anybody think this is as ridiculous as I do?
Anybody have a solution and/or workaround?

The part of the card that slides into the PC Card slot has to be built to a standard thickness... however once outside the slot, it can be as thick enough to block adjacent slots.
If you need both slots then you need to buy a card that doesn't interfere with adjacent slots. Cards that use "pigtails" for their connections may be better in this regard.
If you check your specs, you will see you have two different slots. one type can be used with a card in each slot. Type 3, I believe, is the one that will block your type 2? slot. All this from old memory, but probably close.
