    wireless stopped working

ok, so i put my laptop in hibernate and took it down to my brothers house. when i got down there it wouldnt connect to his wireless connection. i have never had problems before and his laptop is working so it must be some setting on my computer.

I have a Dell E1705 with the dell wireless card built in.
if i double click on the signal bar, it shows his network and i can go through the steps to connect to it, but nothing happens
if i go under network connections, then under my wireless connection, it says that it is unable to configure.

    things I have tried:
    restarting/rebooting/rehibernating
system restore to yesterday and then again to last week
    disable and enable connection
    repair connection

    any suggestions?

wireless connections --> properties --> wireles networks. Can you configure your wireless there or is the check box for "use windows to configure my wireless network settings" greyed out? make sure the wireless zero service is running. Have you tried connecting to your own network again? Make sure it isn't just an issue with his network? Try deleting his network from your preferred networks...then reconnect.

well, im getting somewhere... that was not checked, and when i checked that it shows his network. but, hitting connect will have it try to connect for a while then just go back to how it was
