deep cycle your laptop battery

I wanted to know if anyone remembers a program that i had on my old IBM thinkpad, the program was a deep cycler for the laptop battery. What you did was boot to the disk and it ran (i think) until your battery was all gone. Then you gave it a good full charge and it was like a way to condition and keep your laptop battery in good working condition. I dont have that program anymore since i have formatted and then the ribbon cable that goes to the LCD took a crap.

But does anyone know of or have any programs that they know of which do laptop battery cycling/discharging. Maybe the ones that you boot to a floppy or CD so that it doesnt hurt an OS when it discharges. I think it would be a good program to run on a couple of the laptops i work with.

Any thoughts?

No one remembers this deep drain type of program?
