Gaming Laptop

Hey,
Im looking to buy a laptop I can use for gaming. I build all my own desktop comps so i know I decent amount about computer hardware. Im looking for a laptop I can finance so I was looking at the Gateway NX560. I will not go with dell! so the NX560 looks like what I would like in a laptop for my pricerange. so i guess my question is is gateway a good company to go with. Ive never owned a gateway but Ive played around with dells and I dont like them so Im wondering does gateway put a lot of there software in ur comp, do they make it any more difficult for u to install a OS like Linux on there comps, are the drivers for there hardware hard to find (and not in a bundled pack with a bunch of other stuff I dont want on my comp) if I do decide to put linux on it. I did take a look at powernotebooks.com and they have really nice stuff for good prices but I dont think they finance and that something I need. so in addition if anyone know where I can get a gaming laptop that I can finance I will also look in to that.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

you might want to wait till more of the core 2 duo's come out

edit: if you would probably want to go with the XL model the intergrated graphics on the X model aren't going to be that good for gaming!

Don't get gateway. extra junk and unreliable hardware (see Consumer Reports) If you've got $$ get Alienware. good comps + no extra junk beyond win XP

you think dell is bad but you want a gateway

don't waste money with alienware....it's easy enough to wipe any other brand

dell is going to get you the most for your money as far as speed goes, and build quality is better than other systems untill you get up to the expensive markets...but if you must get something else asus makes some good systems and whiteboxes although you will pay more for them
