I know a laptops battery changes dynamicly according to the way you use it, but is there a small progam out there where it can tell the user how much time He has left on the battery before recharging it again.

Windows XP has that capability built in. Go to your Control Panel >> Power Options >> Power Meter >> check "Show Details for Each Battery"

On top of that, most laptops that you buy (Compaq, Dell, HP, Toshiba, etc) have their own power management software that will give you estimates and usually even let you customize your battery usage depending on how much charge is left in your battery
