| Want to get a laptop-suggestions please.
I want to get a desktop replacement laptop for around $1500. Right now Im looking at the HP9500t. Any comments on this? I would like a decent gaming computer, nothing too high end though. Any suggestions on specs or models? Thanks. |

My Aunt just bought the Sony SZ one, although with a bit more features. (Bigger HD, more ram, camera, ect...) and while it does have better than average specs (C2D Geforce 7400) it is NOT a gaming desktop replacement laptop, especially with it only being a 13" screen.
The Geforce 7400 would be the absolute minimum for light gaming.
I suggest looking at some 15-17" screen laptops that offer more performance for the price than of the smaller 13-14" screen size laptops.

I'd stay away from the 17" laptop, unless you know what your getting yourself into and have used one before.
I have a 15.4" E1505, the screen is more than big enough already! I wanted a 17" at first, but I am glad I went with the 15.4" model instead.
You should go to local shops if you haven't already and get a feel for just how big this laptop will be. |

Go to a local tech shop and scout a few out for the size.
I am glad I didn't go with the 17" model, but you have to go with what suits you.
(I don't move mine much either, but I think this screen is plenty big) |

If a larger screen is what you need, you can get a 21" LCD monitor later. |

Yes, Toshiba is good.
I was just at Sams Club today, I noticed they had a nice selection of laptops to check out. If there is a Sams Club around where you live, go check it out (of course they probably charge more than what it does online, but you can take a look at them). |
