| Getting WIFI to work on DELL LAPTOP
I just reformatted my DELL XP HOME notebook. And I am having trouble using my wireless card that is inside the computer, It work fine before I reformatted. I believe I have to install the drivers. I have the disc, but am having trouble figuring out what to do. Can anyone provide some assistance?

Which wireless software are you using? The windows one, or the Intel PROSet/Wireless, or something else?

call dell, thats why you bought from them no?
They have GREAT technical support on their website, i would recommend starting there. Depending on the model and wireless option you have on your laptop, you will need to either use the resource CD that came with your laptop or download drivers from their site. Each model now has a handful of options to choose from for each model so play with each driver until it works right. You can use the serial number of your laptop to get more specific downloads rather than search by model on their site as well.

Welcome to TechIMO.
I assume you registered at TechIMO because you have a problem. Can you explain what you're having trouble with? And please provide details about your computer, operating syste, your home network, etc. |
