They are both about the same, except for the screen.
If you want a higher resolution, get the smaller screen, if you want more space on the screen, get the one with the larger screen. |

If you want a better gaming experience, look into something with a more powerful GPU. Either with a higher 7series, but would be a DX9 card.
Or these Toshiba's, which ATM are the only notebooks with a 8700M GT. They can handle Crysis. |

Larger screens has always been the best, except that you may find it, it takes up a little bit of space. It's alright if you're not bothered about that one.
I've heard one saying, a larger screen will suck up more battery power. So your battery power will decrease faster than the small screen laptops.

Have you looked at any Dells? You can get much better deals on ones with the same specs or better with a Dell.
Larger screens are not good on laptops. A 15.4" with 1680x1050 resolution is great on a laptop. a 17" is overly massive. My 15.4" is large enough already, and I am really glad I didn't get the 17" like I was looking at in the first place. |

| Sager 5790 now has 8700M GT. Base price of $1799...
I configured it nearly the same as your first ASUS for $2099 - obvious difference being the GPU...
