Greetings,
I was wondering if any one could help me out and find a freeware version of Aim Mobile that works...
I've been searching a lot and I'm starting to think that there isn't one.
I have a Cingular 8525, it runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 and if there's anyway anyone could help me out thanks! |

When I used AIM Mobile for my pocket pc, I found that the US version cost money, but if you downloaded it from the AIM UK website it was free. I don't know if it is the same still, but it is something for you to look into.

Ideally, the WinCE version should work. Windows Mobile could toss a generic "earlier version" warning on installation. If prompted, click through and continue installation. YMMV.

Thanks a lot! I'm going to give it a try and see if it works.
I know the US version costs money and i thought it's a ridiculous price especially with numerous people complaining about all the problems with it.
Thanks again! I'll probably leave a follow up post |

The program works fine on my phone! Thanks a bunch! I like it!
Only problem is i can't seem to close IM windows. Ah well i guess i shouldn't complain since i got it for free instead of playing that ridiculous $20 and tax for the same half assed program they seemed to have thrown together.
Thanks a lot for the help! Heck if you find a better AIM software program it'd be extra-appreciated. I appreciate the current software enough though. Thanks again. |

I didn't feel it was necessary to start a new thread for this but for anyone who reads...
Is there a freeware aim mobile program that uses SMS? The one provided above uses WiFi / GPRS i'm trying to find one that uses SMS. Heck if there's one where you can pay for it'd be appreciated if you give me a link, and name of the program |
