NC6000 Appearing 'dead'

Hello,

I left my NC6000 Laptop charging overnight and then when I came to use it in the morning it wouldn't turn on, no lights no fans, not nothing!

I've checked the Power Supply with a multimeter and it seams fine, checked it with the battery in and out, also tried a different batter....

Any help greatly appreciated!
Tom

Sounds very much dead to me. A co-worker had the same issue with his NC6000... turned out the motherboard just fried and he had to get it replaced.

Could anyone tell me how much it will cost to get it replaced (UK) because I think my warranty has ended

Yikes! Well we had it replaced under warranty, but a motherboard swap can easily be several hundred dollars. You will need to have a tech look at it and see what's wrong.

Unfortunately with these laptops, most everything is integrated on the motherboard, so it's hard or impossible to try swapping stuff out like you would with a desktop computer.
