XPS M1330 - Drivers

Hey Neewb here.

I just recently ordered a pretty top end model M1330, but I have read several places online just how much bloatware that Dell installs on their laptops. I have also heard that there have been many driver issues related to the XPS laptops. Here is my question.

If I wipe Vista clean, and reinstall, am I going to go through heck replacing drivers (for things like the media buttons, DVD drive etc) and specialty dell programs (Like media direct)?

Should I wipe my system clean, or just try to manually delete all the junk that is installed on the system?

I know enough about computers to feel my way around and do some "beyond basic" things, but for the most part I don't have a great understanding of drivers and reinstalling OS's.

I recieved mine just before christmas... had a few issues but still love it great bit of kit!!!

Definitely Reinstall, it sorted many things out... runs much faster

Reinstall was quite simple, I used the supplied CD reinstalled Windows, Installed Dell Quickset (you need this for the remote to work) I also had to take the network driver off a usb stick from another PC..... Windows update installed the graphics driver, along with the memory card readers....and wireless....painless + all latest drivers!!!

As for driver/update issues my graphics card driver crashes about twice a day but Vista restarts it...

Secondly i have a windows update which is stopping my PC from starting, the system restore brings me back to just before the update, i'm looking on the forums to find a fix/find the cause.
