find a car adaptor for my laptop(if there is one)

can anybody recommend one?

i e-mailed sony and they don't sell one for this laptop.(fxa32)

I don't know what kind of power connection you've got, but if it uses a standard "barrel" connection then BestBuy, RadioShack, or even a car parts place should be able to help as long as it doesn't take over like 13volts and prolly like 5-10 amps (which is what you can get from the cig lighter)

Some units show the Voltage and Ma rating on the case, see if yours does.

CompUSA has a car adapter for $50. Plug in ANY two/three-prong device into the cigaratte plug in your car. And voila.

Sony does not make an adaptor, but you can find one here

The company is Igo, and I have done business with them with good results. You need 19.5 volts and 4.4w. At least that what my Vaio requires. Differendt models may be different, however this adaptor can be set to what ever voltage you require.
For the same money, you may want to consider a power inerter. It will make 12v dc (car current) 110v ac (house current.) Then you can also power a portable printer or other devices.
