Hey guys, I'm getting a new laptop. Now, it probably has integrated graphics, which I'm ok with (better battery life) but my question is how bad is integrated.
The graphics (at least to my knowledge) is an Intel M965/GM965.
The games I play are older, I simply want to know whether the Intel can handle it.
And, hopefully Linux will work ok, too.
Thanks for the info. Sleep time now. |

Would probably be a good idea to list the games you want to play...
You won't be able to upgrade the video....Might consider getting a better video card and a second battery if battery life is important.

Apparently, the laptop was out of stock, so I'm getting a different laptop.
It has Vista on it (as far as I know), so the games may not work at all, since they're so old. But, I'll try one, anyways.
The main game is X-Wing Alliance. I may end up also installing Linux on the laptop, any suggestions on to which distro: KUbuntu, XUbuntu, Simply Mepis, Dream Linux, or Cent OS? I have all of those, plus the regular Ubuntu 8.04. |

I've got Vista on my laptop and some things don't work like for example my printer won't let me scan images straight onto my laptop although it lets me print using it. |

Edit- My main question is whether the graphics will let me play Nexuiz or not.
Also, how are the Intel graphics drivers for Linux?
