I am about to buy a laptop and thinking of Hp is my move good or is dell better than hp. i thought abt the finger print scan in hp as a + point any gurus to advise?

Dell does the same biometrics (finger print reader) look at their new Vostro's or Latitudes, its usually seen as a business accessory. I think HP laptops are more bloated and I like the construction and layout of Dell's laptops better. Depends on what your preference is, but if your only move point is a finger print reader, look farther many manufacturers are doing this nowadays.

I prefer Dell over HP any day, but thats just my IMO (Welcome to TechIMO)

I agree with ShuckyD check out the Vostro's and Latitudes. Also I would have to chose Dell over Hp just a matter of choice IMO.

How about LG laptops? is it good its cheap and has 2gb ram
