I can't imagine that anyone would sell a laptop with Vista Premium as standard equipment that would only support 1GB (Vista barely gets started on 1GB) - check some of the memory configurators like Crucial, Kingston, etc. for the latest info - after all, they want to sell you the modules... I'd be surprised if it didn't go to 2GB or even 4GB - there are two memory sockets in there
What is your exact model number - Crucial seems to think that several of the C500 models can take up to 2GB. Kingstons says the C556CA takes 2GB (both in two 1GB modules). I'd be really shocked if yours wasn't the same.
