Tishiba Satellite Pro 440 CDX

my brothor has this old laptop with some important pictures he wants to get out of it but the usb connection wont work and i cant find the windows 98 usb driver for it. i tried driverguide and the toshiba website but what they offer is a full driver utility installer.
would just installing the driver utility overide the old none working drivers it has or do i need to at least get rid of the usb host controllers then install the win 98 utility.
it wont connect to the internet because i cant get it to recognize what i put into the usb port.
thanks in advance for any advice and yes its a very old laptop at first i laughed and told him there were 2 hampsters truning wheels inside of it so it can work. lol

dont know what else he has in it.

Installing the new drivers should override the old driver.
