9 days have passed and i have finally made a decision. I have decided to go with the MSI wind U100 because of the avalability is AUS. One ore question. Which one? Notebooks | Laptops - 10" Screen & Smaller | Techbuy Australia
Over $100 for the 6cell version? Also which colour? IYO
EDIT: i'm not paying for it...take that into consideration. |

Sorry to bump my own thread. I just thought i'd let you all know that i recieved the MSI wind and i LOVE it! Very happy with my decision. I'm just waiting for the extra ram.
Thankyou for all who made this decision easier.

Google is your friend. Nah i'll try and get some pictures posted. I'll have to steal my sister's digital camera.
I just received it today. it's very nice to use. full sized keyboard, super bright display and the intel atom processor isn't really that bad. quite zippy actually.
For interests sake. i researched that is runs better with Vista install on it. (with an extra 2GB mind you) battery lasts an extra half hour and the intergrated graphics is capable of using up to 256mb of ram. Some have even been gaming on it. F.E.A.R and NFSMW were the main titles i came across. I'm not expecting allot but I'll let you know how it goes. I am waiting on the extra ram though. It's funny i can't leave a perfectly good netbook alone. Gotta crack open the case.

| Here is a screen dump of the Windows experience index in Vista
That was with overclocking. Using the Fn > F10 method. 24% increase enabled in bios. (covered by warranty) Note: Needs a bios update to use that function.

Wow. They actually have a built in OCing function, that's covered by warranty?
Impressive. |

Yep. you have to update the bios via MSI home page. First you select the increase percentage in the bios setup, then while working in windows just hit Fn F10 and, wholla, 24% increase in CPU performance. |
