I know it's the typical irony posting an internet connection solution thread in a forum online! Still, worth sharing information i feel.
Ok, If you use the CD setup program and it does not connect to the internet but everything else is fine, then this is for you!
1) Make sure the router is still plugged in and get a pin or paper clip end, and press into the Reset hole at the back of the router for 20-30 seconds.
2) Connect the router using the yellow ethernet cable provided (there should be an ethernet hole on the back/side of your computer, and an array of four on the back of the router coloured yellow).
3) Open up IE (internet explorer, big blue E symbol) window on the computer.
4) Type 192.168.1.2 in the address bar of the IE window and hit enter/click the green arrow.
5) Click Connection Type from menu on the left
6) Type in all the information regarding the connection to your Internet Service Provider (check with ISP if needed).
7) Click the 'Apply/Save Changes' button.
This is the manual way of doing it and should be better than the setup program that comes with the Belkin n wireless router.
Happy surfing!
