New college grad looking for new laptop

I just graduated college and I'm looking to buy a laptop; mostly for entertainment (i.e. music, pictures, etc. ... not a gamer, so a high-end video card is not a necessity), since I won't need it for school. I'm looking for help since the more I read, the more confused I am getting...

This is what I want:
  • 14" screen or smaller and lightweight
  • 250-320GB hard drive
  • at least 3GB memory
  • reliable customer service and warranty
  • solid battery life
I am looking to spend around or under $1250 for the laptop with a printer and warranty. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.

Help!! Thanks in advance! :-)

HP is having a deal on a laptop has everything you want, the only thing that you may to want is it is a tablet PC but here is the link: Slickdeals.net

Follow the directions that slick deals gives you.

If you want a small size with good specs, HP's tx2500 series is cool. The 12 inch screen is touch sensitive! LINK.

Also, the DV4z and the DV4t series' have 14 inch screens and can be fitted with Blu-Ray drives for superior entertainment.

The type of printer you purchase depends on the type of printing you do. Are you doing many photos? Mostly text documents? Is the ability to plug in a camera memory card and print straight from the printer a feature you want?

TurtleInTraining,

I followed the directions on slickdeals.net... but I don't know where to put the coupon code in on HP.com. Any ideas? There is no spot for it... that I see at least.

I'm loving the suggestions. Let me know if you have any more. When it comes to a printer, I just use it for basic stuff. I usually go somewhere to print photos so it's not a big deal to me to have it high-tech.

Thanks,
jhodaki
