Virgin post
I thought that would get your attention. This my first post.
My needs are simple. I'm an old fart rv'er who wants to maintain contact on the road with email, googling, facebook, research, dvd viewing(for grandkids) etc. No gaming.
My son just bought a used corporate computer off e-bay and I'm thinking of doing the same.
I'm looking at a Dell Inspiration 8200 from bayliquadators. Their feedback is great.
Any thoughts? I don't need a laptop enough to justify a new purchase.
Thanks.

I would suggest one of the net books actually. They are smaller, more portable, better battery life, and newer tech. And from what you explained, it would suit your needs quite nicely.
There are a couple of different models to check out.
Asus Eee
MSI Wind
Dell Mini
All are fairly cheap, and would serve your needs great.
Some of the Eee's you can find for ~$250, if not cheaper too. So it's probably gonna cost less then a older lappy also. Not to mention battery life is MUCH better.
Hope I helped, good luck, and welcome to TIMO.
