HP presario does not start on Boot

I have an HP Presario CQ50 Notebook. It was running fine and I have had no problems with it. But when I rebooted it does not start. The little side lights go on saying that its on and everything. But the screen just stays back. I can here the fan on it running but not much else going on in there. Any ideas or suggestions on how to get it working again? Do you think that I might have a virus?

if it was a virus it probably disabled the bios so your pretty much screwed there. Even then it sounds like your having issues with the motherboard.

Either way spells new laptop for you. laptop motherboards are too expensive to even consider the price worth it.

If the Bios was disabled by a virus, do you think that I would be able to do a complete reset of the computer, even though it doesn't even give me a start up screen?
