    Buying a new laptop!

    Hey guys,

Could any of you recommend the top laptop brand these days? I am looking for a laptop I can build that will basically be used for portable gaming... I know there is nothing that can compete with a desktop, but I am looking for a laptop brand that can offer something decent.

Looking to run some WOW, COD4, Madden etc. Any HIGH end games I'll leave to my desktop.

    Thanks in advance!

Along with the budget question, what are some must-haves for your build?

oh, hey, let me jump in on this too with yet another redundant post...

Whats your Budget, and what are you looking for in a Laptop, the brand suggested would be dependent on those criteria.

Post A good way to get started.

In lieu of having to list out all your laptop wants/needs/budget restrictions, you might want to take a look at this new app from Microsoft called Laptop Scout: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...t/default.aspx

It helps you narrow down your options by price and potential use, making it a pretty decent resource for someone that's just beginning their laptop hunt. Let me know if you have any questions about it, I'd be glad to help out.

    Cheers,

Neat tool, but missing the one important element I think the OP was looking for: reviews and opinions. Sure, a laptop might meet his required specs according to that site, but it sure wouldn't tell him if people actually like it.
