Hi where do i start >_<
ive got here a medion 2120 (md95564)
the problem is that its power button (microswitch on circuit) has come off
this has happened due to somebody opening it and not having a clue what they where doing and thinking by removing the power button that it would help with the 1st problem it had which i will post below.
the 1st problem the laptop had when the person brought it round was that it wouldnt power up at all and the microswitch that deals with the standby mode (when you close the screen it presses on the standby switch above the power switch) had broken and all that was left of it was a small spring left in the broken microswitch.
due to me not having the time to fix it he took it round to some cowboys place to get it fixed and now its come back without a power switch on the motherboard (been totally removed from motherboard) and now im left with a laptop that wont power up due to no power micro button and no standby micro button ...
my question is now ..
is there anything i can do that doesnt involve me replacing the 2 microswitches on the motherboard to fix this powerup problem ?
if i can bypass the power button and dissable the standby switch then this would be good for the time being untill i get the replacement microswitches
any help on this would be great.
