recommend a good laptop please =)
Hi all i'm just a student looking for a good overall laptop. Probably for a little gaming, not hardcore or anything, able to do work with and good entertainment system. Mobility is not really an issue and price range would be best kept between $1000-1500?
Do you have any suggestions? I was thinking about the ASUS M50Vm-X1 but if you have any suggestions against this or other suggestions please do say =)
thanks!

Those ASUS laptops are definitely decent machines. You'll get your money's worth for sure if you get one.
If you're open to checking out some other models, (or just getting a good comparison between the ASUS laptop you mentioned and some others) you might want to check out this new site called Laptop Scout: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-laptop-scout/
You can enter in what you're looking for in a laptop, then factor in your price range, and it'll give you a good sized list of what's out there. You can also grab up to three different systems and do a side-by-side comparison of their specs. All of them link to Cnet.com reviews as well, which should help you judge whether or not a laptop is not only good overall, but also a good value for the money.
Let me know if you have any other questions, or if I can help in any other way.
Good luck with your search!
Cheers,
Cody
