There was something that allowed you to install apps to the card, I think. Or was that on my last HTC PDA phone?
And it is impossible for me to use it as a normal phone. It begs me to use lots of apps, and constantly browse the web on it.

Yeah, exactly. The phone could have amazing battery life as a regular phone, but I would never know . |

I was thinking the same thing, get an 8gb card and break the OS so i never had to worry about it.
The more i research into this ... the more and more impressed with it i am. And especially since i dont have to pay the rediculous fees to get a decent service on ATT ... I think im game to make the switch. Just sucks that after 5 years as a Verizon customer that i have to switch. I am going to make one last concerted effort to stay by checking out the LG env 3 options. I have the 1 now and im getting tired of its faults. |

Well, I do like the g1, there is also the mytouch/google ion (also tmobile), which comes out in august, faster with more memory and longer battery life than the g1, though it doesn't have the slideout keyboard which matters more to some than others.
Also check out cnet's roundup of iphone rivals. It doesn't include the blackberry storm, but my boss has one that I got to play with, it seems pretty usable (though I still prefer my g1).
And if anyone has any specifics on getting apps installed on the sd I'd like to hear 'em. |

I will probably never get the Iphone because it is not Big Man Compliant. I hit several keys with my finger and i find that i hit the backspace more often then the correct key.
I think if anything i might wait to till closer till august and see if they drop the G1 in price some. Even to 100 from the current 150 would be nice. |
